How to integrate this exercise into your routine?

Now we're going to talk about how to incorporate it into your routine.

First of all, it is possible to use different media to start journaling: a paper notebook or an online journal. The important thing is to choose the format of the media that suits you best, on which you will be comfortable writing and which will make you want to express yourself. It is also possible if you are creative and if you choose the paper format, to decorate your journal with stickers, stamps… To write with felt-tip pens of several colors, to make small drawings related to your writings… You are free to do what you like: it is a real moment of pleasure and escape that you must take.

The same goes for the rhythm of writing. In the introduction to this article, we talked about an exercise to do every day. But it's up to each person to decide. The goal is not to feel forced to write, because otherwise this exercise will be associated with a boring and forced task, but it is important to make it a motivation at every moment when you want to do it, as if it were one of the most anticipated appointments with yourself of your day or week. So, start this exercise when you have the time, the feeling of need as well. You can start journaling by writing once every two days.

Also, there is no minimum time to devote to it, some will devote 5 minutes each morning, others 30 minutes each evening… it all depends on what you want to write, how you will keep your journal, your inspiration and creativity…

Now here is an example of how the Huages team practices journaling through the exercise “The 5 minutes journal”:

This exercise is the one that is most recommended since it requires little time and it is therefore easier to integrate it into your routine and stick to it every day. You just need to take 5 minutes each morning to sit down in a quiet place and take stock of yourself. For a few minutes, you can write down everything that comes to mind: your goals for the day, your successes, your doubts, etc.

Now that you have your ideas written down, start your day as you usually do!
